Amazing Glacial Hike

"The Root Glacier hike was an incredible experience, and our guide Violet was delightful. It takes a lot to get out to Wrangell – St. Elias park, but after those difficulties, we’re behind us this hike made it all worth it. It was strenuous, but we could decide how much adventure we were willing to take. Violet was knowledgeable, personable, and positive- just what you want in a guide. It was a great experience for us and our teenage children. I highly recommend this trip."

Ann Marie G.,

"Be sure to spend a day or more in McCarthy exploring the town and the Kennecott Mine as this was such an awesome addition to our river trip. We stayed at the Kennecott River Lodge while in town (also run by McCarthy River Tours). The lodge offered breathtaking views of the glacier right outside your cabin door!"

Taylor B,

"We had a blast, learned a ton about Alaska, and did some major adventuring and team bonding in the coolest place we'd ever been. We can't wait to come back and do a longer river trip with this classy outfitter! Adventure retreats offer a proven success recipe for creativity, team-building, team bonding, values alignment, and mission development. They are a wonderful reward for hard-working teams. I highly recommend considering this kind of trip to other company leaders."
